Judge Receives Threats After Sentencing Libby in CIA Leak Case
The federal judge who oversaw I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's CIA leak trial said Thursday that he received threatening letters and phone calls after sentencing the former White House aide to prison. Walton made the remarks as he opened a hearing into whether to delay Libby's 2 1/2-year sentence. Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, argues that he shouldn't have to report to prison until his appeals have run out. Walton has said he's not inclined to grant that request.

They typically end up controlling the conversation and the original groups quickly excuses themselves to leave and find new conversations. Scenario #2: You are [...] (Read on Source)

Asus Unveils New Eee PCs In Taiwan

Trust Asus to roll out four more Eee PC models in Taiwan - the 1000HD XP, 904HD XP, 901 XP and 900 XP (16G). There is no confirmation as to whether the four models mentioned here will ever make it out of Taiwan and into Europe as well as the US, so don't go hyperventilating just yet. You can tell by the "HD" suffix in the model names that those will feature a hard drive, while the "XP" suffix suggests that Windows XP will be the operating system of choice. Are you going to jump onto the netbook bandwagon just yet, and if yes, which model would you gun for?

Some seem to have learned and ... (Read on Source)
Federal Judge Rejects Challenge to Sen. Stevens Indictment
The criminal charges against Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, who is accused of filing false financial reports to obscure hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts and home renovations, do not violate constitutionally protected legislative activity, a federal judge ruled Tuesday in dismissing an attack on the indictment. Williams & Connolly lawyers, representing Stevens, had argued that government prosecutors improperly pitched protected legislative activity to grand jurors.
